1. Die Zahlen von 0 bis 20
German numbers are important in everyday life. We use numbers for age, telephone numbers, prices, dates, addresses, time and many other situations.
जर्मन भाषा में संख्याएँ बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं। हम उम्र, फोन नंबर, कीमत, तारीख, पता, समय और कई अन्य परिस्थितियों में संख्याओं का प्रयोग करते हैं।

Important spelling
Notice these special forms:
- 30 = dreißig, not dreizig
- 60 = sechzig, not sechszig
- 70 = siebzig, not siebenzig
3. Zahlen von 21 bis 99
German has a special word order for numbers between 21 and 99.
In English:
twenty-one
But in German:
einundzwanzig
Literally:
one-and-twenty

4. Hunderter – Hundreds
100 = einhundert / hundert
Examples:
- 100 → einhundert
- 101 → einhunderteins
- 110 → einhundertzehn
- 125 → einhundertfünfundzwanzig
- 200 → zweihundert
- 300 → dreihundert
- 500 → fünfhundert
- 900 → neunhundert
In German, the whole number is generally written as one word.

5. Tausend – Thousand
1,000 = eintausend

6. Eine Million – One Million

English: one million

Punjabi: ਇੱਕ ਮਿਲੀਅਨ / ਦਸ ਲੱਖ
Important:
Million is a noun, so it is written separately.

Plural:
zwei Millionen

7. Eine Milliarde – One Billion
This is very important for English-speaking students.
In German:
eine Milliarde = one billion
Hindi:
एक अरब
Punjabi:
ਇੱਕ ਅਰਬ
Be careful!
English:
1 billion = 1,000,000,000
German:
1 Milliarde = 1.000.000.000
So:
eine Milliarde = one billion
And:
zwei Milliarden = two billion
8. Eine Billion
German has another word:

The most important thing for A1 students is to master 0–100 first. Once 21–99 becomes easy, German numbers above 100 become much easier to understand.
